At Taysir Tech FZ-LLC ("Taysir", "we", "us", or "our"), your privacy matters. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Taysir mobile app (iOS and Android) or website at https://taysir.ae.

Taysir operates three interconnected features: a Task Marketplace (Customers post tasks, Taskers bid), Service Offerings (Taskers list services, Customers contact them), and Job Postings (Employers advertise full-time or part-time roles, Job Seekers apply). This policy covers all three features and all data collected through them.

We are committed to handling your information responsibly and transparently, in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (UAE PDPL) and global privacy standards.


1. What personal information do we collect?

We collect only what we need to provide a safe, efficient, and user-friendly platform.

When you create or use a Taysir account, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Phone number (used for OTP login; no passwords stored)
  • Email address (required)
  • Date of birth
  • Profile photo, bio, skills, and preferences

As you use the platform, we collect:

  • Task details, communications, reviews, and ratings
  • Payment and payout information (processed via trusted third-party providers)
  • Technical data: device type, app version, IP address
  • Crash logs and usage analytics

If enabled, we also collect:

  • Location data to show nearby tasks and improve user safety
  • Biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint) for secure access — this stays on your device and is never stored by us
  • Push notification preferences and interaction history

For Job Postings, we additionally collect:

  • Employers: company name, trade licence details, job title, job description, salary range, and contact information associated with the job listing
  • Job Seekers: CV or resume, work history, educational background, skills, languages, and any other information you choose to include in your application or profile

Information submitted as part of a job application may be shared with the Employer who posted the listing. You control what you include in your application. Do not include sensitive personal data (such as passport numbers, bank details, or medical information) unless specifically required and prompted by a verified employer through the Platform.

We use cookies and mobile identifiers to understand how the platform is used and to improve performance.


2. How do we collect your information?

We collect information when you:

  • Register or verify your account
  • Post, accept, or complete tasks or service offerings
  • Post a Job Listing or submit a job application
  • Communicate with other users or support
  • Use app features (like location or biometric login)
  • Interact with marketing or system notifications
  • Navigate the app or website

Some information is collected automatically through device analytics, crash reporting tools, or third-party services including payment processors, analytics providers, and cloud infrastructure partners.


3. Why do we collect your information?

We use your personal information to:

  • Create and manage your account securely
  • Match you with tasks and Taskers in your area
  • Display Service Offerings to relevant Customers
  • Show Job Postings to relevant Job Seekers, and share applications with Employers
  • Support in-app messaging and task or job coordination
  • Process payments and withdrawals
  • Prevent fraud and protect our community
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve app features and performance
  • Send essential updates, task alerts, job alerts, or marketing (if opted in)

We do not collect more information than necessary — and we never sell your personal data.


3A. Legal basis for processing (UAE PDPL)

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, "PDPL"), we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance: processing necessary to provide the services you requested, including account creation, task matching, and payment processing.
  • Consent: where you have freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent — for example, marketing communications, optional location sharing, or biometric login. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Legitimate interests: fraud prevention, platform security, abuse detection, analytics, and improving our services — where such interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation: where processing is required to comply with UAE law, including AML/CTF regulations, labour law compliance, or court orders.

Where we rely on consent as a legal basis, you have the right to withdraw it at any time by contacting support@taysir.ae. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.


4. Do we send notifications or marketing?

Yes — but you’re in control.

Push notifications

We’ll send alerts for new tasks, chat messages, payments, and app activity. You can adjust these in your device settings at any time.

Transactional messages

We use SMS or email for things like:

  • OTP verification codes
  • Account updates
  • Task and payment confirmations

These are required for basic app use and cannot be disabled without deleting your account.

Marketing

If you opt in, we may contact you about new features, offers, or helpful tips. You can opt out through app settings or by emailing support@taysir.ae.


5. Who do we share your information with?

We may share your data with:

  • Other users (e.g. your profile is shown when posting or responding to tasks)
  • Service providers that support our platform (e.g. hosting, analytics, payment processing)
  • Regulators, if legally required
  • Business partners, if we undergo a restructure, acquisition, or merger (we’ll notify you)

We only work with trusted providers and ensure all third-party access is limited, secure, and purpose-specific.


6. Where is your data stored?

Your data may be processed and stored in secure data centers inside or outside the UAE, including in the United States and the European Economic Area, by our trusted cloud infrastructure and service providers.

International transfers: Where we transfer personal data outside the UAE, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with the UAE PDPL, including:

  • Contractual clauses with third-party data processors that require them to protect your data to standards equivalent to UAE law
  • Use of providers located in jurisdictions with adequate data protection frameworks
  • Technical and organisational measures to protect data in transit and at rest

By using the Platform, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your personal data to countries outside the UAE as described above.


7. How do we protect your data?

We take data security seriously. We use:

  • Encrypted communication (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Secure cloud infrastructure
  • OTP-based login (we don't store passwords)
  • Optional biometric authentication (processed on-device only)
  • Internal access controls and role-based permissions

Security disclaimer: No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we implement commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Taysir shall not be liable for any unauthorized access, interception, data breach, or loss of personal data that occurs despite our reasonable security measures, unless directly caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Data breach notification

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the relevant UAE regulatory authority and, where required, affected users, in accordance with our obligations under the UAE PDPL and applicable law.


7A. How long do we keep your data?

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our general retention periods are:

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account and deleted within 30 days after account deletion (subject to legal retention requirements).
  • Transaction and payment records: retained for a minimum of 5 years as required under UAE commercial and tax law.
  • Identity verification documents (Emirates ID, permits): retained for the duration of your Tasker registration plus a minimum of 2 years, or as required by UAE law.
  • Communications and task history: retained for up to 3 years after the relevant task or communication, or longer if subject to a dispute or legal hold.
  • Analytics and crash logs: retained in aggregated or anonymised form indefinitely; identifiable logs retained for up to 12 months.

Where retention is required by law (e.g. AML/CTF regulations, labour law), we will retain data for the period required regardless of account deletion requests.


8. Your data rights (UAE PDPL)

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email support@taysir.ae. We will respond within 30 days.

  • Right of access: request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements. Account deletion takes effect after 5 days.
  • Right to restriction: request that we limit processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to data portability: receive your data in a structured, commonly used format where technically feasible.
  • Right to object: object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing purposes.
  • Right to withdraw consent: where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

Account deletion

  • Go to account settings and tap "Delete Account" — your account will be deleted automatically after 5 days.
  • You can undo the deletion within 5 days by tapping "Undo Deletion" in account settings.
  • After 5 days, your data will be permanently removed except where retention is required by law.

Limitations: Some rights may be limited where we are required to retain data by law (e.g. transaction records, AML/CTF obligations), or where the right conflicts with the rights of others. We will notify you of any applicable limitations when responding to your request.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UAE data protection authority.


9. Cookies, tracking, and automated processing

Cookies and tracking tools

Yes. We use cookies and similar tracking technologies for:

  • Essential cookies: required for the Platform to function (e.g. session management, security)
  • Analytics cookies: understanding how users interact with the Platform and improving performance
  • Marketing cookies (optional): personalised content or advertising, only where you have consented

You can opt out of non-essential cookies at any time by adjusting your browser or device settings, or by emailing support@taysir.ae. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the Platform from functioning correctly.

Automated decision-making and AI

The Platform uses automated processes and AI-assisted features to match users with relevant tasks, rank search results, detect fraud, and surface recommendations. These automated processes may use your profile data, location, task history, and behaviour on the Platform. No fully automated decision that produces significant legal effects or similarly significant impacts on you is made without human oversight. If you believe an automated decision has affected you unfairly, you may contact support@taysir.ae to request human review.


10. Is the platform for children?

No. Taysir is only available to users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If we learn that a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data.


11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Taysir reserves the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time by notifying users on this page and, where feasible, within the app or by email. Where changes materially affect users' rights or the processing of their Personal Data, Taysir will provide advance notice of at least 30 days before the changes take effect. We recommend checking this page regularly, using the "Last Updated" date at the top as a guide.

Changes that materially affect users' rights or Personal Data processing include, but are not limited to:

  • changes to the categories of Personal Data collected or the purposes for which Personal Data is processed;
  • changes to the legal basis relied upon for processing Personal Data;
  • changes to the third parties with whom Personal Data is shared, or the introduction of new categories of recipients;
  • changes to the retention periods applicable to Personal Data;
  • changes that affect how users may exercise their data protection rights, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, or objection;
  • changes to the countries or jurisdictions to which Personal Data is transferred; and
  • changes to Taysir's identity or contact details for data protection matters.

Where changes affect processing based on consent, Taysir will collect new consent where required under UAE PDPL. Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. Users have the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
