Salary on the 1st: Earn Extra Income in the UAE

UAE private-sector salaries are now due on the first of each month. Discover how flexible local tasks can create earning opportunities throughout the month.
From 1 June 2026, the UAE introduced a unified monthly salary due date for private-sector workers covered by the Wage Protection System. Under Ministerial Resolution No. 340 of 2026, wages are due on the first day of each Gregorian month.
For employees, a clearer payday can make budgeting easier. But one salary date does not mean earning opportunities must be limited to once a month. The UAE’s growing task economy gives residents a way to use practical skills, free hours and local experience to complete short-term jobs throughout the month.
Why More UAE Residents Are Exploring Flexible Income
Living costs, savings goals and family responsibilities can make one income stream feel restrictive. Some people want to build an emergency fund, pay for a course, reduce debt or simply use their weekends more productively.
Flexible task-based work is different from taking another fixed job. Instead of committing to a full weekly schedule, taskers can choose suitable opportunities according to their skills, location and availability.
Through Taysir, customers post jobs they need completed, while taskers browse available requests and submit offers. Opportunities may include cleaning, delivery, tutoring, furniture assembly, photography, pet care and other local services.
Turn Skills You Already Have Into Opportunities
Many people assume extra income requires a new qualification or major investment. In reality, the starting point may be a skill you already use. A person who is organised may help with packing or home organisation. Someone who explains subjects clearly may offer tutoring. A confident driver may assist with permitted delivery tasks, while a photographer can support small businesses with product images.
The important question is not:
“What second job can I find?”
It is:
“What useful problem can I solve reliably?”
Technical and regulated work, including electrical, plumbing and professional trade services, should only be performed by people with the required qualifications, licences and permissions.
How Earning Through Taysir Works
Taskers can create a profile, complete identity verification and browse tasks posted by nearby customers.
When a suitable task appears, they can submit an offer explaining their price, relevant experience and availability.
After the customer accepts an offer, the tasker completes the agreed work. Taysir holds the payment through escrow and releases it to the tasker’s wallet after the customer confirms completion.
The tasker can then withdraw the available funds to a UAE bank account.
Income is not guaranteed. It depends on customer demand, availability, category, pricing and the number of tasks completed.
The value of the model is flexibility: taskers decide when to browse, which opportunities suit them and what rate they are prepared to offer.
Can Full-Time Employees Take Extra Work?
Before accepting paid work, residents should check their visa status, employment contract and permit requirements. The UAE provides several work-permit categories, including a part-time work permit. However, the correct authorisation depends on the worker’s circumstances and the type of service being provided. Flexible income should always be earned legally, safely and within the tasker’s professional qualifications.
One Payday, More Possibilities
A regular salary provides stability. Task-based work can provide additional flexibility. The goal is not necessarily to replace a full-time job. It may simply be to complete one or two suitable tasks each week and direct the additional earnings towards a specific goal.
